Step by step

  1. Upload your Learning Plan

Drag it in or click Browse files (DOCX or PDF, up to 200MB). The trainer, class, unit and sessions are read automatically, for free.

  2. Choose the template

BOPPPS Model or KSTVET Standard. Both cost the same.

  3. Choose single or mass generation

Single Session for one lesson, or Mass Generation for every session across the plan.

  4. Set the target

Single: pick the Target Week and the Target Session Block. Mass: check the Plan Duration (Weeks). Set Total Time (Mins) to your real lesson length.

  5. Click "Start Generation"

The button shows the price for your choice, e.g. KES 10 for one session.

  6. Pay with M-Pesa

Approve the prompt on your phone (see Paying with M-Pesa).

  7. Preview and download

Download DOCX or Print. Mass generation downloads a ZIP with every session (the preview shows Session 1 as a sample).

Template Category

BOPPPS ModelKSTVET Standard

BOPPPS runs the lesson as Bridge-in, Objectives, Pre-assessment, Participatory learning, Post-assessment and Summary. It's recommended for modular competency-based curricula. KSTVET Standard follows the KSTVET session plan format. See The BOPPPS Model.

Generation Mode

Single Session · KES 10Mass Generation · KES 9 per session

Mass Generation creates every session over the plan duration in one go, 10% cheaper per session, downloaded together as a ZIP.

Target Session Block Single mode

Once your plan is read, this becomes a list of the real sessions for the week you picked, so you just choose the one you're teaching. If the sessions couldn't be read, open "Why didn't this detect session rows?" to see what was read from your file.

Total Time (Mins) 120 by default

Adjust in steps of 30 to match the lesson period. The stage timings are worked out from it.

Optional manual overrides Closed by default

Details from your Learning Plan are used first. Open this only to correct them: trainer, admission number (KSTVET), department, trainees, class, course, session title, unit code, module, level, session plan title and date. Here you can also tick Customize Institution Name, Logo & Contact to replace the default GATANGA TVC letterhead.

Use a Learning Plan generated in CBET Planner for the best results. Its session table is read exactly, so every session plan matches the plan you submitted.

Paying with M-Pesa

Nothing is charged until you click Generate. A window titled "Unlock Session Plan" opens on the same page, so you never leave CBET Planner to pay.

  1. Enter your M-Pesa number

The +254 prefix is already filled in. Type the rest, e.g. 712345678.

  2. Tap "Pay KES 10"

An M-Pesa prompt (STK push) reaches your phone within a few seconds.

  3. Enter your M-Pesa PIN

Stay on the page. It detects the payment by itself and starts generating your session plan. Tap Check Now to check straight away, or Try Payment Again if no prompt arrived.

Paid but no document?

Click "Already paid but didn't get your document?" on the payment window and enter the M-Pesa code from your confirmation SMS (e.g. TGH5J8K2L9).

  • One code = one document. A code can never generate a second document.
  • If the code hasn't produced a document yet, it generates it now, at no extra charge.
  • If it already did, you get a redownload link to that same file, up to 3 times within 3 days of it being generated.
  • A code only works on the page for the document type it paid for.

You can also recover by code any time from My Documents.
