How your plan becomes the record

This tool doesn't write new content. It re-reads your Learning Plan's session table:

TOPIC / STRAND / ELEMENT

Comes from the plan's elements and benchmarks.

SUB-TOPIC / SUB-STRAND / UNIT TITLE

Comes from the plan's real session titles.

A Learning Plan only knows week and session numbers, not dates. You pick a start date and your teaching days, and every row's date is worked out forward from there.

Step by step

  1. Upload your Learning Plan (DOCX)

The sessions are read for free and shown under Extracted Learning Outcomes. Check them, and re-upload if anything looks wrong.

  2. Fill in the details

Name of Teacher/Trainer, ADM No and Subject Name. All are optional, and Subject Name may already be filled from the plan.

  3. Choose the report template

KSTVET, GATANGA TVC, or your own institution (see below).

  4. Set the schedule

Pick the Start Date and tick every Teaching Day your class meets (Mon to Sun).

  5. Click "Generate Record of Work (KES 20)"

Then pay with M-Pesa (see Paying with M-Pesa).

  6. Review and download

Check the dated table, then Download DOCX.

The options explained

Report Template

KSTVETGATANGA TVCInstitution Template

KSTVET (default) uses the official KSTVET letterhead. GATANGA TVC is the Ministry format with the GATANGA TVC letterhead. Institution Template is the Ministry format with your own logo, institution name, email and phone.

Teaching Days

MonTueWedThuFriSatSun

Tick every day the class actually meets, weekends included if you teach them. Starting from the Start Date, each session row gets the next ticked day in order, so these choices become the dates on your document.

After teaching, keep the record honest: note any missed, moved or make-up sessions in the remarks. Read What is a Record of Work? for how.

Paying with M-Pesa

Nothing is charged until you click Generate. A window titled "Unlock Record of Work" opens on the same page, so you never leave CBET Planner to pay.

  1. Enter your M-Pesa number

The +254 prefix is already filled in. Type the rest, e.g. 712345678.

  2. Tap "Pay KES 20"

An M-Pesa prompt (STK push) reaches your phone within a few seconds.

  3. Enter your M-Pesa PIN

Stay on the page. It detects the payment by itself and starts generating your Record of Work. Tap Check Now to check straight away, or Try Payment Again if no prompt arrived.

Paid but no document?

Click "Already paid but didn't get your document?" on the payment window and enter the M-Pesa code from your confirmation SMS (e.g. TGH5J8K2L9).

  • One code = one document. A code can never generate a second document.
  • If the code hasn't produced a document yet, it generates it now, at no extra charge.
  • If it already did, you get a redownload link to that same file, up to 3 times within 3 days of it being generated.
  • A code only works on the page for the document type it paid for.

You can also recover by code any time from My Documents.
